      4.1 This bone is an osteoclast.

      4.2 This is compact bone tissue.

      4.3 This is an osteoblast.

      4.4 Finding the side which is partly ossified will determine that that side was near the diaphysis.

      4.5 An external callus stabilizes the bone while it is being healed, which is the same job a cast performs. Thus, a cast can be thought of as an extra external callus.
