I left the guys on there own for Sundy, but Lorries there and I have faith that she'll make them tow the line.
It was great to see Doug CCC again, or should I say the "new and improved" Doug, leaner and meaner, well, I guess not meaner. Looking good buddy, NO not in THAT kind of way.

Dog, OOPS! I mean Doug Fox was there, great to see him and John Henry as always.

And we finally got to meet Dan, after all these years, and his wife Lisa. Very nice couple. I hope you guys have many happy years together.

Then we come to Rick and Lorrie, what can you say about those two? Well most of us know what to say about Rick, but I wont go there Lorrie, thanks so much for taking care of the reservations, and everything else. Also thanks for stoping by my room late last night/early this morning . It really put a smile on my face when I saw them.(We'll just let you guys try to figuure what THAT might be about).
Thanks to both of you guys, it always a blast seeing you.

Then we come to Cook............I found out a couple things I didnt know about Greg. One is that he doesnt like "Mexican Ketchup".

Glad you made it home...

Have to ditto what Chuck said. Great time fer sure. All you folks have gotta see this reunion thing at least once. It's like a time machine for gearheads. Chuck was his usual law flaunting self, crossing solid white lines, failure to yield right-of-way, etc. Rick was, too, but at least he wasn't driving. Lorrie kept him well in check, though. I FINALLY got to see the Battlestar run on the strip. This car is killer consistent on the track. Yes, guys, it runs that way every single trip down. Pretty talented driver, too, even if his level of knowledge about food condiments leave something to be desired. Rick is a walking encyclopedia on Fords and drag racing. Certainly was nice to see Doug FFF again, but after Chuck insulted him and called him a "dog", I dunno if we'll see him again. Come back buddy, we didn't get to play our game of "Doug, Doug, Chuck"!! I'll not share too much about the cars as Lorrie has done an outstanding job of taking pictures out in the hot sun all day. My favorites? Well, how about a Superstock 66 Fairlane running 8.81 naturally aspiriated, A ten second blown flathead roadster, a near national record run of 5.89 for a front engine nostalgia dragster, a bone stock two door '60 Fairlane Wagon, Willys and Anglias galore all looking like they'd just driven off the show car circuit only they were running 10's and better, B body mopars out the wazoo, (same for 409 powered 61-63 chebbies), even a cammer powered altered. Add it all up and it comes to the most enjoyable automotive event I've been to, including Woodward. Yup, I'm hooked.

Was nice to see old faces(yes,OLD faces) again and meet a couple of new ones.Glad you guys made it home safely. The rest of the gang took off about 11:30 or so.Hope they are having a safe trip.Things were proceeding very slowly, track oil downs, people running thru the sand trap and across the county road and things like that.So Greg's class wasn't going to start till late so he made a bee line for home. Some pretty good racing once they got past the top fuel,jr fuel etc.

I left at 1PM and got home 7PM.

I had just enough Red Licorice, Pretzel Rods, and Doritos to get me home! Thanks, Chuck!

I don't think I feel so good......

Glad to hear everyones home safe and sound. On another note, I was able to gat the tire marks off of the hood on the 300 fairly easy as we all thought, but there are some pretty deep nicks in the paint that were never there before......Sucks

Driving straight through sure isn't as easy as it was 10 years ago! I got nothin' to add here. Got to see WAY to much cool stuff, see some good friends, Dan & his wife looked a little beat but not scared off yet... Gotta go again next year as there was too much to see

Sounds like a good time. I tried to make it out, but our house is sold and the buyers asked for a few things to be fixed before we close....so I spent the weekend under the house in the crawl space.........at least it was cool.

I have to ask, how did Chuck get tire marks on the hood of his car?

Jerry, if it can happen, it can happen to me. Rick is correct, semi tire blew, hit the hood and windshield. It actually looked kinda cool, you could make out tire tread marks on the windshield
