FE ID Help

I found an FE I need to ID.

Intake #'s C5TA 7505 B

Heads C1AE 6090A

Carb DoPF 9510 U List 4548 S 2417

Another # but I forgot what I got it off of----> C3AE 9425 B

Anyone got any idea? I know it's made of 3 diffrent years... '61, 63 and 65...

The block has NO casting #'s but a W2 date code under teh oil filter mount.

It is in a truck with hedders but I know it's from a car because it's got a front sump oil pan on it...

If the oil pan were removeable I could get the crank csting # but I cannot...

Thanks Guy's!

Gary

Sounds like a 352

Why would someone put a 352 in a nice 73 Trailer Special F-250? Sounds weird....

Because people do not know the difference between a 332 & a 428. I had a Mustang with a 352 in it & the current owner SWEARS a 352 will not run 12's, has to be a bigger FE.

Oh, just because it has a front sump doesn't mean it's a car engine, all my FE trucks are. The trick is if they changed the oil filter adapter or not

Gotcha... Front sump in all NON 4X4 FE's..

1963 390 T-bird intake and 1961 352 heads, the block is unknown because of no casting #'s on it.

So it's nothing special... I heard a tale that the external 1/4" wide X 3" long webbing outside is a fairly standerd 390 block thing...

The WHOLE block....

There's another at my machine shop with the ribs and NO casting #'s too...

It's not too uncommon for the ribbed blocks not to have a casting number on them. It is most likely a 360 or 390 block. The external ribbed blocks came pretty late in production. It might even be a service replacement block.
