Back in the early 80's when I was working at KU Medical Center as an electrician they brought a guy into the emergency room with both his hands blown off and blinded in one eye. He was making a BIG firecracker and it went off while he was putting it together. I guess he was in his late 30s early 40s. Our shop was just down the aisle from the prosthetics clinic so we got to see a lot of him while he was getting fitted for hooks.
