Jay Brown, a die hard FE man who frequents the FE Forum has entered his monster 69 Mach 1 again this year. He won the big block normal aspirated class two years ago with this car and won the daily driver class last year in his new Ford GT. This year he has stepped up and is running in the big block power adder class using a 511(I think) all aluminum FE with a Paxton super charger. Funny,it don't look like it would run 9.80s but it has and will!

Yes, truly a cool car. And I think is awesome that, when Jay didn't finish his Mustang in time last year, he just took his GT40 won in a different class. I have a car with a trailer hitch that will run 9.8's the in the 1/8 mile. Does that count???

The funny thing is when he won two years ago HotRod had just published an article about FE motors entitled "FE=Finally Extinct!" He thoroughly trounced everyone in his class by 1/2 sec running an average over fives days of 10.60 something. I have no idea why HotRod would even write anything like that. There are more parts available for FEs now than ever. But it was a little icing on the cake and old Jay made mention of that to the guys at Hotrod too.
