Telway, never tried them. The one Telway I used to see all the time @ Telegraph and Grand River Ave. has been gone for a few years now and a Walgreens is in its place. I think I might have seen another recently, but can't remember where.

Ever tried Bray's Hamburgers? Or how about Bates Hamburgers? I prefer the burgers served in most neighborhood bars and lounges.

I hear the Sidetrack in Ypsilanti has a good burger.
Right across the street and across the RR tracks from the Hudson dealership.

I think it used to be a local chain of burger joints, the original one was probably on Telegraph Rd. giving them the name "Telway". Just guessing.

I'll chime in here, and agree that Bray's has my vote. Always has, and always will. With Carters holding a close second. Been awile since I've last had Bates, but if memory serves correct, they weren't to good either. Never heard of the place Chuck brings up??

On John R. just south of 11 mile. We can make a run there next August. Here's their Phone # 248-545-7962
Never heard of the place myself but I'm from the west side and this is an east side joint.

I called the one on Michigan and Livernois. It's still there and the lady that answered sounded real friendly! I'm gonna check it out later. What a great post Chuck!

I think the one on Michigan is the one that I saw recently, not an area that I would get out of my vehicle after dark if I was alone. Sometimes my work takes me downtown to the People Mover or to Stroh's or Cobo Hall or to Riverwalk Park and I take Michigan Ave. all the way home, ya know sightseeing "in the ghetto".
