How many 60 Starliners did they make?

This one has two (2) seams about 16 to 18 inches in from each drip rail, I was thinking they were marks in the paint from a vinly top, but P{op's said he don't remember ever seeing a Vinyl Top 60 Starliner...

What could they be? Or were there a bunch Vinyl top starliners around back in the day?

The car has (had?) stainless strips running the length of the roof on each side. Lots of nick-nack on that car, all made of unobtanium and hellaciously expensive to buy. 'Liners are killer but not for the faint of heart or weak of wallet...Great find. Oh, as far as the "cool club" is concerned, we'll have to ask Chuck.

There were no vinyl tops on 60 Fords. There were vinyl tops on 50/51 Crestliners and Montereys, but then no more vinyl tops until 1963, probably 63 1/2 if I remember correctly. You can check with the "experts" at the other place to verify.

I don't quite follow just where these "marks" are, but no vinyl tops.

They made a shitload of 60 Starliners since there was no 60 Galaxie Two Door Hardtop.

Ooooooh, they had SS strips on teh roof, ok, What I haev ais a poorly painted 40 years ago black top with 2 lines running from windshield to rear window abotu 15 or 18 inches in from the outer edge... Just smooth paintless marks is all...

Looks like you got the car for a good price. I saw the long quarter trim piece that goes on the fin at Columbus a couple years back. They were asking $900 PER SIDE! Yikes!
