Don't get me wrong, I do like the Magnum 500s and the 15x60 tyres...
The fat tyres do fill up the arches nicely (almost).

I don't want to go for 17" wheels, too big for an early stang I think.
I have seen those wheels in 16" on a black coupe:

The rims are Vintage Wheel Works' Vintage 45s, 16x8-inch with a 4.5-inch backspacing. The tires are BFGoodrich 225/50x16 KD radials

Wow, that's a very cool looking fit... the tire size looks perfect for the wheel wells and stance, and I agree that 16" rims has a nice balance of pro-touring vs. muscle.

Those look a lot like Torque Thrust D's to me. Good look on that 'stang!

Kermit, those are the exact wheels I'm running on mine with 245s.  Of course, mine are just sitting in my house because I never make any progress on the car, but that's another story . . .

I was just looking at that Mustang Monthly last week and in my mind that car sits just right and the wheel/tire combo are perfect. Do it!
