Cool - speedo reminds me of a radio. What color silver did you use on the engine ?

The engine silver is Dupli-Color 500* Engine Enamel # DE1615.

Real nice stuff, it goes on real smooth and dries quickly. Best of all it's very smudge resistant unlike many aluminum spray paints.

I use it for all kinds of stuff. Looks just like cad plating on linkages and stuff. I even used it on the speedo bezel in the first pic.

Ed,

I'm not an expert on anything, let alone old Chrysler products, but I think 1957 was the first year for the torsion bars on the MoPar fleet.

Just awesome - it must be great to be one of your customers and have all your expectations actually exceeded when you see the car instead of having to walk around and convince yourself the little disappointments and problems you see "aren't that bad." The guy is going to flip when he sees it!  Has he come down for any sneak peaks or anything?

Beautiful, Greg. Thos dashmounted mirrors were such a pain in the ass. I still remember the one on our '57 Desoto. Spent most of its life laying on the dash.

Tom, this whole project has been a pain in the ass!

Eric, the guy has been by a few times since the start, plus I keep him updated via email pics. At the rate this project is consuming dollars I have to keep him up to speed on what's happening!

ive been told the red pigment doesent cost more then any other colour.

id think a black car would cost more with more detail in the body needed, however with greg it doesent matter what colour you want, the body is always perfect.
