Did you ever find a 2300 head? I found a whole bunch today.

Well, I found plenty that were cracked!

I'm looking for a D-port head. These have an intake port that is flat on the bottom. They came on mid 80's to early 90's 2300's. Many had a factory roller cam.

Auburn Alabama,I pulled 24 out of a storage building.I'll look for a d port tomorrow.Not cracked of course.

Durn, look for cracked ones. It oughta be worth a couple hundred $ at the recycle yards!!

Now, if you have one with a roller cam, that might be nice. I've gone through several and ALL were cracked. It's getting to be a PITA to find a usable head!

I don't really know what a bare head is worth either. If my local boneyard had one, it would be next to nothin', but they don't! Advance wants around $250 or so for one that is rebuilt. Let me know what you want, or if you really want me to give you a price, I will. Shipping might be a pain. Plus, these things are kind of fragile, as the cam towers are easily cracked or broken off if handled very hard. It will have to be packaged accordingly to guard against that. Old cam stuck in there with wood between the towers? Ideas???

Anyway, sorry for babbling... I'm excited!
