Another one bites the dust

Well, about two weeks ago I lost a dear female friend. A true "Southern lady", gone at sixty years old from the big "C".

Today I found out that a friend that Ive known for 20 years, my bosses best friend, passed away on January 1st due to complications of MS. 50 years old.

The last few years I count my blessings that, while I have some medical problems, its not so bad dealing with that,or being bald, fat and funny looking (and well hung).
You guys may not want to hang aroud me too much at Woodward, I must have bad mojo or something.

Crap, this sucks.

Sorry for your loss...

It's had to see friends pass away. I suppose it's something we'd better get used to as none of us are getting any younger, (except Cook). I found out last year my best friend and roomate from college had been killed in a motorcycle accident and I was devastated. It just took me totally by suprise and I took it pretty hard. My prayers are with you and the families involved. Oh, one other thing. That "well hung" thing yer talkin' about usually takes care of itself as you grow older too, so they tell me...

Guess I'm lucky, I'm almost 50 & really no one I know closely has died, but a good friend has been fighting the big C & says since he got fired he doesn't think he will make it to the end of the year. I feel for ya Chuck, especially with the rope marks around your neck from being well hung

We are getting to that age Chuck, its unfortunate but true. It is personally one of the things I have struggled with for years. That is, being told that you should always plan for the future and not live for today. Hell we all know that the only thing for sure about being born is that you are going to die. I always wish for more but try to not feel guilty about never saving things for tomorrow. Hell, tomorrow never comes, it is always today or yesterday. So I find myself saying live for today because it could be over in the blink of an eye.
My condolences and a pledge. I'll try to live just as long as you so that I don't have to go to yours and you don't have to go to mine, deal?

Really hits home as you get older - best words I ever heard was Plan like your going to live forever and live like your going to die tomorrow.
