A Grampa Story

Since Mark brought up the Grampa thing.........

About a month ago the whole gang was here. It was on a Saturday and everyone was outside playing in the snow. Suddenly it was decided that the women had to go shopping and the guys had something they had to do somewhere.

They asked if I could watch the two grandboys, 4 and 7 for a few hours. I said no prob!

So everyone left and it was just me and the two boys. They zoomed up and down the driveway in their battery powered Jeep while I mounted a mortar attack on their vehicle from behind the bushes. Big wet snowballs in high arcs dropping from the sky with a big SPLAT!on the blacktop.

I'd score a hit now and then and some tears were shed but then it was right back to the war!

After about an hour we were all a bit wet and it was getting cold so we went in the house. We changed into dry clothes and the four year old looked around..........

"Are we the only ones here?"

"Yeah, I guess."

"Mommy and Daddy aren't here?"

Uh-oh, maybe it's gonna be tear time.....

"Nope, just us."

"COOL! Now we can do stuff we're not supposed to!"

It's fun to be one of the kids.....

Ed, the point of the story is not what we did.

The point of the story is that the kids thought that when the "adults" were away that Grampa and the kids could play.
