Dragster engine

Finally started tearing into it, must have been built by a Chevy guy. Head bolts are supposed to be torqued to 140 ft. lbs. & were 70-80 & didn't blow a head gasket. Looked at the piston tops & are standard. Methanol requires quite a bit of cylinder pressure, no wonder it didn't run! Gonna bump it to 13.5 to 1 & do a little port work. Sucks to have to rebalance it though. Guess it's a good time to get that new SFI flex plate

Take some pics along the way, all I build are babies compared to a 13:1 BBF running on moonshine!

Gonna be fun. I figure a set of gapless rings & a deck job with the pistons about .015" out of the hole might make 14 to one, outta rip!
