Is gasoline going to Hell? Here about all you can get is 10% ethanol & the Harley HATES it! The '05 is dropped 5 miles per gallon & God only knows if it'll get better. Anyone else having these problems?

The fuel economy on my '04 F150 seems to have dropped off a bit. But then again, my driving schedule is erratic. Some weeks I'll drive 300 miles, the next week I'll drive 30.

I'll have to fill it up and do the math.

I put "local brand" 89 in the 10.0:1 Edsel 390 this morning and it seemed just fine.

Same thing here Rick. We've had that stuff for years and find an avg 3 to 5 mpg drop compared to "normal" gas

Well, so far we haven't had to supplement the midwestern farmer's income via that 10% crap. My understanding is it's real tough on plastic Holley innerds..

There's been a LOT of mechanic's complaining about too much work due to it, it kills fuel system parts. Seems now my Ranger is acting up. When you shut it off you have to crank it forever to get it started, like it's flooded. I assume the pressure regulater is taking a dump. Never gonna make it easy on the working stiffs huh?

I guess that the price of fuel is so low...............

that they had to lower the btu content to make us buy more to increase their profit through shear volumn. Uh, maybe not...

Put 4.10's in the 05 and seemed to be getting 19 Miles to the gallon the first 500 miles. (What is considered city driving in these parts, no freeway/highway.)
But after this fill up it all a sudden is hitting 17... (87% Octane)

I've heard nothing about them switching to 10% around here, but then again. They aren't required to tell you unless it's over 15%... So it very well could be 10% here to...
