This one is a show car. However, the interiors in the "nice drivers" look like this also.

Joe, that was a coupling at the condensor that I was able to figure out. It was a spring loaded connector.

Gary, are we talking about the silver button midway between the service brake pedal and the parking brake pedal?

It's not for W/S washer.......

Hey Greg,
What is the pod thing that looks like a rearview mirror mounted backwards just inside the windshield on the left side of the cluster? Does that extra "button" in the floor have something to do with that?

I'm guessing it's a sensor for the auto-dim?

Re: Gutshot

May 5 2008, 9:07 PM

Mopar's like my 49 and a 68 I had have a foot powered windshield washer... The button between the brake and throttle looked just like one.

I thought the mark on the floor left of the brake pedal was just something lying on the carpet...

But it's Probably for the Wonder Bar Foot Selection Switch for the auto search function the radio has... Like my daddy's 60 Coupe DeVille Wonder Bar radio.

It is, in fact, the radio tuner/seeker.

Wonderbar!

The pod thing on the dash is the automatic headlight dimmer.

Re: Gutshot

Okay, starting at the left, behind/under the park brake pedal, that is the dimmer switch.

Next one to the right , kind of in the middle, is the radio selector switch.

The deal under the big service brake pedal is the pushrod that goes to the power brake unit. It is unhooked from the brake arm. The brake arm is wired up to the steering column to facilitate carpet install.

The long skinny one at the far right is the throttle/starter pedal. Step on the gas to crank the engine. There is no "start" position on the ignition switch. Only Lock/Off/On.
