I was looking at Dizzy's and saw an MSD Street Fire HEI For around $150.oo Well these HEI's work on the Fords (460) and if so does it elemniate the module (sounds like it does)..Or I could just get an A6 MSD for around $189.oo.
Now my Dizzy is fairly new (duraspark).. new with motor rebuild..
Thanks
tim

An MSD with a Duraspark distributor is a great ignition system. I've seen 9 second cars with them

If you didn't build it, it will always be someone else's

Not exactly a direct answer to your question but I have a Mallory Dual Point in the 66 Fairlane. It worked okay, but I added an MSD box to it using just one set of points. It didn't make the car any quicker but it made it WAY more driveable and much easier starting on cold days. You can tell it really liked the hotter longer spark.

Any of the multi-strike type ignitions seem to help the older carb cars. You can trigger them with just about anything. Should work very good for you.

Ok
Now my motor is a 77 460 I guess it could still be concidered older.. LOL...
anyway would I be better off using the MSD 6a with my Durspark .. or change out the dizzy to the MSD street fire HEI. The Dizzy is cheaper than the 6A Dizzy 150.oo the 6A is 189.oo Budget you know... but wanting the best bang..
Thanks
