Headed back up to Beaver Springs on Friday nite. Hope to put a whoopin on that Stinkin Camaro this time. He emptied the NOS to get around us last time. 8.92 to my 9.34 and it amounted to about 2 car lengths. If I win I will dedicate the race to Jan, RIP ........

In a special all Ford Match Race. Travis Rice took the win over James Houston's 427 Fairlane with a handicap win of 9.34 on a 9.34 at 145.66 MPH to James 7.98 at 181.22.

Rick, by the end of last year we were actually running 1.30 flats and went 9.20's @ less MPH. The High gear in the Powerglide was burnt black when I freshened it over the winter. So I take it that It was driving through it for sometime, but the car kept going faster and really never gave me any signs that it was gone. 10 Clutch drum and a billet front pump should help it this year stay locked up.

I remember running 1.18 & 1.19 short times in the old '66, man was that a blast!
