As an owner of a '93 Mark, I find the price to be about right for the right person. A rock bottom one is selling for about $2000.00 now. A one off like this will likely sell to a person looking for a Mark with something unique - particularly if the back story is verifiable. I do not particularly like it myself. The outside is ok, but the flat canvas with ripples look of the interior of the door kills it for me. Another thing hurting this car is that it is based on a fairly common fairly recent car. The Tbirds and Mark VIII shared a whole lot. The Tbirds are almost as plentiful - maybe more so than the mustang. The Mark has enough of it's own distinctiveness that it is noticed, but not all that noticed. To many it will be just a 15 year old car that someone done something neat to. The owner will get his price if he is patient, but he will have to be patient - unless he is very lucky.
some company was advertising being able to do it and they had a Mark VIII as their test car, anyways 2000$ for a 93 mark VIII I bought both of my marks for under 1k and both ran where are you located just wondering..
Anyways cool car but but I would just rather have real doors
First, there is no room for golf clubs, the trunk is already packed. No doubt there is more than a little added weight that goes along with that conversion. Top that off with warranty work on that door could have been a sink hole for factory money. Nice car though and the concept does have good basic foundation - although there is a considerable 'step-over' to ge into the seat. You might have to be more atheletic than the average Lincoln driver I see on the street to manage that leap of faith.
