arcrylic lacquer touch up

I need to get some touch up paint for my 62 buick, arctic white color. I believe the factory used arcrylic lacquer, which I don't even know if it's available anymore. If not, is there anything that is compatible. Any sources online where I could buy something like this? There's not much around here in the way of paint stores.

Duplicolor 9567. It's laquer in the little touch up bottles with the brush on one end. Arctic white has been around forever and is still being used so it's an easy color to find.

Dan, I'm pretty sure your car was originally painted in acrylic enamel from the factory. If it's an older repaint, it's likely laquer though unless your from commifornia where I think laquer was outlawed back in the 70's(?).

62 Buick is lacquer.

Not all Arctic Whites are the same color. You'll need the year of the car and the color code from the data plate.

For example:

59 Buick Arctic White, color code C is mfg code 30Y-2801

60/64 Buick Arctic White color code C is mfg code 30Y-3071

Mfg in this case is Martin Senour, but different years even with same codes can be different colors.

Well Jeepers, Doug.....

White is a tough color because they all look....well.....WHITE!

Problem is, none of them are really white. If you look at the formulas they are all an extremely light gray, brown, green, blue, yellow, whatever. If the car is painted overall white it's hardly noticeable, but if it's on a two tone, say red with a white top, then you'd better have the right white! A gray, brown, or yellow will look fine but if you get a blue or a green it's gonna look hideous!

White ain't white!

As far as the touch up goes, if you're just looking to brush a little into a scratch you can use about anything. Lacquer dries quick so you have to move fast on a warm day and it really doesn't flow very well. I like acrylic enamel because it's slower and flows better.
