Alright I posted this years ago but I am posting it again.

I have a 67 Galaxie 4 door with a post.

I hate my post.

I have seen 67 LTD 4 doors NONE of them have posts.

It looks like the doors are longer, aside from that any difference, car would look alot cleaner with no wing windows and no B pillar just wondering if anyone knows how this swap would work.

Posted this on FM just wanted your guys input also since your smart too thanks.

The doors might bolt.

The B pillar will not support the rear door if you cut away the top half.

The roof line of the sedan is higher than the hardtop so the window glass won't reach the top.

If you want "the look" and only drive in nice weather you can leave the windows down all the time and never open the back doors.

Alright so?

The roofline is different, between a LTD 4 door and a Galaxie 4 door is what you are saying?

the LTD roofline is higher?

So the bottom half of the B pillar would need to be reinforced alot to support the front door latching onto it, and the weight on the rear door, maybe suicide I am not against that on my galaxie think it would look slick, just wondering if I did do that, would the 1/2 size B pillar be strong enough to have the doors slam on it without causing any problems?

I planned on removing the window frames and making bigger pieces of glass and have them seal up like later model torino's no window frame they seal to the car and then for sealing between the back or the front window.

So maybe the front or rear window, has a seal on it like on 2 door torino's where the window can go up or down but its got a seal to seal between the windows, greg I assume you know what I am talking about can find a picture, but your smart.

Some would say I am putting WAY to much work into this car, but then some people would also call me retarded, wait thinks whatever.

So the main thing is alot of work would have to be done to the B pillar custom windows would also have to be cut.

I can't do this.....

But if you must continue just think everything through and measure twice before you cut once.

You can cut the frames off the top of the doors but it's gonna take rocket science to get new homemade glass to seal up to the roof.

Just think of it like a torino the roof and B and C pillar have the seals to seal up the windows, as far as sealing between the windows, I am picking up the elite today I will get pics of what I am talking about for sealing between the windows.

Wont be using homemade glass gonna try to use LTD doors, but the side glass on the 4 doors is flat so I don't think it will be that hard, lol ok its gonna be a pain in the ass but I have years to do it.
