Uh-Oh is right! Dang that looks like a keeper. Don't you have an FE sitting back in the shop somewhere that could go into it? A little metal and vinyl and you're good to go.
Let us know what the rest looks like when you get it into the garage!
I undrstand that it's unique, but I had no idea that you wouldn't mind having one... I mean heck I'd not mind having the 62 wagon I ran into a pair of barn doors when I was 5... But my wife won't let me
I think that 10K is a bit excessive but it's a wagon and not a muscle car so maybe it's not too far out of the box.
For some reason the Canadian cars just don't do very well compared to similar US models. To me it's a plus because it makes it unique.
Tom, I have a few 390s around here. One is a complete and running engine out of a 67 full size. Then there is the possibility of a quick ring job on the original 352/300 from the Edsel. Minimal $$$. Put the Edsel back to original with 352, pull the warmed up 390 out of the Edsel, stick the top loader that was going into the Comet "someday", and there you have it, a nice 350 horsepower 4 speed 59 Ford, I mean Meteor, Ranch Wagon.
Cool thing about those 50's is the tilt forward hood. Don't have to worry about back pain while leaning into the engine compartment with those wide fender tops to support your back.
Not surprised, things are kinda slow this time of year without a bad economy. Bad time of the year to try to sell an old car.
I would have gone 6, not sure if that would buy it, but I did a reality check and realized that I don't have the time, the space, or the energy to do that car even to decent driver standards. The shop is full, there are customer's cars parked outside. I am so screwed when it comes to my own car hobby.......
Sounds like you need to hire someone, put them thru some training, pay them hourly, plus some health care and a retirement package. Give them some breaks and a good vacation plan and hope that they don't talk to anyone about joining a union. Then you offer them a mortgage on a house purchase with a one year adjustable rate to get them in without them really being qualified. Next year when they default and you have a "toxic loan" you can get in line to register as a bank and apply for a few million dollars of the TARP money. In the meantime, since there are cars you want to work on and own but really can't afford now, you can go to congress and ask for a line of credit, "just in case" you want to use it and then you can stop denying yourself the things you deserve. Isn't that close to what is going on with the AIG-CITIBANK/GMFDC-UAW stuff?
On another note you will have to most likely expect to be asked to step down as the CEO of your business and lay off your hired help and send some cars back unfinished. Of course then your worker might come to the garage, walk in and get CNN to come put his face on camera while he demands severance and vacation payments. Next thing you know "ol Jessie Jackson and B. Hussein O. will be there to support the worker who by the way, doesn't speak English very well.
Next thing you know we will be seeing you have opened a shop in Katmandu and have Bob Seger playing constantly on the in shop sound system. You have hundreds of workers living in huts that are walking distance from the shop and you are pumping out cars faster than Barrett Jackson and Carlisle can off'em.
