Bang and Shape.... (adventures in FE's garage)

Definitely not as fun as Greg's Magical Garage.... (he's not here to do the work for me so that dampens the fun factor a tiny bit)

Played with this feller's 57 TR3 some more today, last week I put in new body sill panels, floor pan's and rocker panels...

Today I found almost 1/4" of mud and a big ass unexplainable hole under the 5 layers of paint on the rear of the car, because some dumbarse can't swing a hammer & dolley, and likely couldn't weld either.......

Look at the huge dent (below) they never even bothered trying to remove... sad.gif

literally 3 minutes with a hammer & dolley and I got it out far enough to prep for some hole welding... happy.gif

Thie one almost couldn't be helped... Very hard to get a hammer in at the correct angle, and dolley-ing from the outside was only minimally effective...

There, I'm done booring you now happy.gif

Looks good!

I have had luck with heat, especially on something like that where its not very flat. Not sure how brave you feel witha torch, but you may be able to work that top corner out.

Nice work just the same

Looks like that nasty 57 T-Bird I did a few years ago. They kinda banged it into a general shape and let the bondo fly! It was so bad I welded in what I could, banged it a little closer, and let the bondo fly!

It's always big fun to go "exploring" under the old paint and bondo. Some amazing stuff under there!

Hahahaha! This one just came to the guy from a 12 year sit in someone's garage...

Thanks for the compliment. I wish I could swing a torch, mig, and hammer as good as Greg though!

Well, you know what we say in the aircraft business... beat to fit & paint to match.
