Sunday, May 10,2009, Quarter Aces Dragway, http://quarteracesdragway.com/

I managed a .008 red light first round and went home early.

Frank did better. Here's his version:

1st round was the 6.69 getting off of it.
2nd round bye I ran a 6.63 (not sure if the air was better or the wind stopped)
3rd round dialed 6.63 and ran a 6.63
4th round dialed 6.63 and ran 6.64
5th (final) round dialed 6.63 and ran 6.64

Lost the alternator belt during the burnout in the final other than the red light on my dash, it didn't bother the car any.
I guess having a good transmission helps some!

Long day, got home at 8:15

Start Early

May 11 2009, 5:00 PM

We start at 2PM - On 4/25, we ran 180+ entries plus pro stocks + wheelstander + jet car and were done by midnight. A good race. I think we had around 120 this weekend, went to dinner at about 9, got home by 10:30 and unloaded, passed out at the keyboard trying to fill in the Winner's Circle info at about 12:15am. If I get to bed before 2am on a race weekend (Friday and Saturday) we've had a light car count for sure.

Ugh

We had one of those last year - but we started at about 1pm Saturday. Neighbors didn't care for that at all.

... by the way. Even when I do nasal gold mining, and come out with a particularly difficult one, I tend to treasure it as a personal victory. After I a discreet look at my found treasure - a wipe of the nearest object takes care of the residue.

The one you found must have been quite a trophy for you to take the opportunity to display it for the ages. wink.gif

Just teasing - Nice win.
