Or this:

Exactimundo. Whatever possesed them to put those 17" "steelies" on the thing oughta have their heads examined. I can let the installation of the incorrect 460 stroker motor slide just cause it oughta make a ton of horsepower, but jeez....

Wonder how much they had to pay Parnelli to put his name on the thing? Gotta be some justification for a 60K auction price. Hey, I'm beginning to sound like Gary. Oh wait...

As Tom McCahill once said referring to a single exhaust on a big inch 4bbl motor "It's kinda like trying to fit a tornado through a keyhole".

Or as a local relatively prominent 60s Super/Stock builder told me that running manifolds on a race motor was "kinda like eating like a pig all week but not being allowed to take a crap til Friday".

That's standard "Racer Boi" / "Fan Boi" mentality....

All the money in the world for wheels, tires, Fancy valve covers and HiTech 'looking' Bling. No time to read a catalog, post a message to a car forum or jus' ask somebody that knows...

On the other hand ... the one good thing about it - at least the idiot that ends up buying it will not kill himself, the first day; ... Its got those built-in govenors to keep the topend reasonable. Like Cheese and peaches -that'll keep the engine locked up... top of my head - there are at least 3 - 4 sources for better'n stock exhaust manifolds. did you guys say it was built by a custom car builder, a real hot rod shop or a celebrity car builder?

Its all good... wink.gif

For the kind of money this car is supposed to be worth, you'd think they could make it a little more "sanitary" and cover the details a little better. I'm not saying my car is any better... but I'm not saying it's worth $80k, either! happy.gif

For the kind of money they think its worth, you'd think they would have gone to the trouble of installing headers and they would have straightened out the engine compartment a bit more. Plus, the engine looks awfully 'billet' for that kind of car. The valve covers, air cleaner, etc look completely out of place. They should have fabbed up a more period or 'nascar' looking air cleaner, and used some earlier vintage valve covers.

If we're going to get picky... power steering pump, master cylinder, alternator, battery hold down, battery, billet trans dipstick, braided lines, aluminum radiator that SHOULD be painted black, etc. It just looks like a mis-matched mess without much attention to detail. And yea, the wheels do look a bit retarded.
