Rare because it's actually a Custom 300 being described as a Fairlane??? Sorry, wrong body, Dude! Just a bit short!

Im not a 58 fan but lose the white walls and I like it.

This one (another Custom as far as I can tell) is about 15 miles from me.
Price seems a little high (holy cow, Im turning into Gary wink.gif ), at least to me

I like that one in Battle Creek. 6 cylinders and 3-on-the-tree are just right for what it is.

That's kind of interesting to have the same ugly color 58's for sale at the same time. One stock and one modified. Are 58's really fetching that kind of money these days?

They both look good for 58s. Are they both 300s? They look the same length to me.

They are both Custom 300s.

The Custom and Custom 300 are on the short wheelbase "thick post" body/chassis combo. All Custom and Custom 300 are "post" sedans, Tudor and Fordor

The Fairlane and Fairlane 500 are on the long wheelbase "thin pillar" body chassis combo. All "post" sedans, Tudor and Fordor, use the thin pillar with stainless trim door window frames.

Fairlane and Fairlane 500 also have 2 door and 4 door hardtops, no post.

All convertibles and retractables are Fairlane 500.

Station wagons are built on short wheelbase chassis.

And that's all I have to say about '58 Fords.......

Thanks Greg, I thought they looked short but didn't know.

Now I will still look stupid but maybe I'll sound like I know what I'm talking about...or maybe not.
