HI all
I'm wanting to lower my final drive ratio.. without changing the gears.. so I can have lower gears at the track..
my tires now are P 255 60 15" and are 26" tall.
I'm wantting to go to something like a 20" tall That well fit a 8" X 15" wheel.
Is that possiable and what kind of ratio well that give me??
OH my rear end now is 3:50 ratio. and I cross the finish line at about 4,500 rpm's 93 mph. and the truck weights in at 4,500 lbs
Thanks
tim

I think what you might gain in gearing doing it that way, will just be subtracted from your 60 ft times for no gain , and probably a loss from tire spin. See if you can find a 3.91 gear someone will let you try. Just my .02 cents, opinions may vary.

Thanks Tracy
How about something in a 23" tire?? as it is now I have NO tire spin with the 26" tires and maybe just a little bog.. 1/4 mile best is 14.5 @93 mph
thanks
