Greg, I need some help.

I seem to remember you having some pictures of your 63 build that had the crossmember removable between the lower a-arm mounts. Can you possibly dig that picture up and post it here?? I am mocking everything up in the car for the Lenco and 514 , And once I get everything in place I have about 5* tilt on the engine, which does not look to bad until I put the tunnel ram on top, then it looks real steep. If i could lower the front of the engine another 3/8" and leave the mid plate alone then it would raise in the back @ the tailshaft about as much as I am dropping in the front. I also am interested in how far your steering assembly , center link sets below the top of the original crossmember. I am about about 3/8" off of it now with the oil pan. If the steering is not a hinderance then I could lower the engine say 3/4" and just about be in the 2-3* range.

Thanks Travis.

For trade I will post some progress pictures. wink.gif

Finding those old pictures would be quite a project so I just took some of the car in the trailer and sent them to your email. If that doesn't get it let me know and I'll get the car out and get better pics.

The removable crossmember is exactly the same as the original except there are flanges on either side near the control arm mount to make them removable and the tubing is a smaller diameter.

The engine is on the same centerline as the original 390. I'm using a Milodon deep pan which is the same as a stocker where the steering linkage passes. I can stick my fat fingers between the pan and the steering so I would say I have a good 3/4" clearance.

Some pics. Higher res in the email.
