Took my daughters best friend half way home to his Grand Parents in Oregon and this little project followed me home... It's a 72... Anyone got a hood, some stainless trim and a pair of front fenders handy?

They made pretty much the same body from 1966 to 1972-73, then uglied it up with a US-required huge, rubber 5-mph safety bumpers.
Not much into Brit cars...although my Dad had a "Bug-eye" Sprite for a few months (he was going through a mid-life crisis), Mom let it slide for a while, but he ended up selling it.
I had a Jaguar 150, until I found I couldn't afford to keep it running.

hahahha, it's an MGB... I forgot the pic was so obscure... Going to paint it 2009 Porsche Boxter Blue which looks real close to the Falcon blue I used.
So Beo, you think 69 fenders will work? I might pick up a 69 that had a tree fall on it for parts....
It might...not sure about the same changes - would have to be an expert.

Even when they produce a "visually" similar body for several years, they might make little changes. You would have to check for things like bigger wheelwells, wider fenders or minor tweeks to contors and shapes.
The '80's Thunderbirds are a good example, to look at them many people think they are the same from up to 89 or so, but few parts will actually interchange. Some engine parts that share the same part number from year to year have funny inttle differences; I found that out when I replaced a '95 A/C compressor with a '98 model. Same part. same part number...except one had a mounting screw setup where the threaded holes had a sleeve and the other didn't. Plus they were "clocked" differently where the hoses attached. The didn't match. I could have made it work, but then it would have been on my "dime".
Other than R&R, experimenting or finding an expert. I would have to look for the correct part
