My father in law has a 59 invicta convertible, but I can't get the top to
close properly.

I can insert the pins into the holes above the windshield, but I cannot slide
the handle (you know what I mean...) inside to lock it.

This already is the second top because the the first one was cut too short.

I cannot manage to lock it, even with 3 people helping me and the car parking
in the garage with the top closed for 1 month (to stretch...)

Any easy solutions to this problem??

Sorry man, not without being there to see it I can't...

Is it too tight or os there something barring the lever from turning?

You can adjust the hooks that hold onto the frame. I believe they're held with a locking nut, but hell I could be thinking about a chevette glove box right now and not realize it...
