Not so long ago I mentioned a possible Dual Quad Caddy in a 40 Mercury Convertible project.

This is exactly what I had in mind. '57 365" in a 40 DeLuxe Coupe adapted to the original powertrain.

The guy in the red shirt on the right is the owner.

That is one clean, sharp car. As nice as it is, I would guess its been in the family for a long time.

Ford with Cadillac engines were a favored combination for a lot of guys...OHV, extra 100+ cubic inches? Whats not to like!

Those 40 Fords were one of the 1st Hot rods I liked. Weren't the 39 and 40 real close to the same?

A 39 DeLuxe is almost identical to a 40 Standard.

It was a pattern for a few years, the previous year's DeLuxe became the following year's Standard.

Starting 1941 the Standard and DeLuxe were only trim levels.

Absotively beautiful. Clean as a pin and the color reminds me of my old Falcon.
