Well, this thread or post may just get deleted, but here goes.
While I wish no ill to anyone, some of the Kennedys, Ted included, were able to use their name to stay out of jail when others would have been thrown in the slammer in a heartbeat.
Im sure that Mary Joe Kopeckeys parents arent sheading a tear over his death, and neither am I.
JFK and RFK, yup RIP, but Ted...........
About a month ago, they did a "life story" type of thing on one of the cable channels about "Sir Edward" and they somehow failed to enclude any mention of him being envolved in her death.
And dont get me started on Patrick.
Or all the time and taxpayer money that was spent looking for poor "John John", which they justified becaues he was "a member of what could be considered Americas royal family".
I could have puked when I heard them say that on the news that nnight.
Seems to me that when Mitt Romney (Republican) was governor that good old Ted managed to get a law passed that the governor could not appoint a new Mass (U.S.) senator. But as soon as a Democrat governor got back in good old Ted was in there pitching to get the law changed back.
All for the public good, I'm sure.

I for one have no problem talking about the Dead. Weather they died today or 20 years ago. Dead is dead and I see it as that simple.
I never cared for the guy either, I'm standing with Chuck on this one.
Political appointment should NEVER stand in the way of justice, and, the news comment mentioned earlier about the American First Family almost made me puke then they said that on TV, but then I understood that it's simply a journalist looking for recognition.
"In the summer of 1969, consiglieres of the former John F. Kennedy administration -- Robert McNamara, Arthur Schlesinger and Ted Sorensen, among others -- convened in Hyannisport to write the apology that would save the young Sen. Ted Kennedy from himself.
Only days before, Kennedy had left the scene of a fatal car crash on the small island of Chappaquiddick on Martha's Vineyard, taking the life of 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne.
The second-term senator waited nearly 10 hours to report the accident and offered virtually no explanation other than he "panicked." "
He apparently was a man with little concience. I doubt that he's gonna rest in peace, where ever he is now.
