"IF" .... it turned out to be as good as the pictures seem to be .... it is worth the money. Like any other buyer, I'd offer less, but not try to insult him. No too sure if the drivetrain swap is an asset or a liablity, done right it could be OK, if it was just plopped in "catch as catch can", it could be worse than having been left alone. Cleveland and FMX could be anything from a 351M /400 and cruisomatic to something worth dealing with.

Ok, That car is a little "strange", or so my buddy says, unless we both were talking about different Liners.

That car has been for sale for at least a couple of months for that price, why Ive never looked at it, (its only a few miles out of my way on the way home from work) I cant explain.

Anyway, about a month ago, the biggest swap meet in S.E. Wisconsin was held. That car wasnt there, but the red 63 you see in the backround was. The red 63 at 10 grand was WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY overpriced.

So a couple of days after the swap a buddy and I are talking on the phone about the cars for sale at the swap, I mention the red 63 from the Menomenee Falls and he brings up the Liner. Now this guy has a fleet of 60s fords, including a 61 Liner and my Black 61 Fairlane that I posted a pic at the drag strip. So some guy asks thim to take a look at the car because something just dosnt look "right".
Appearently the car has 60 rear quarter panels on it instead of 61s.

Ill call the guy today, If its still for sale, Ill go look at it and let you know

Must be talking about a different car. The tin on the green 61 in the ad is all 61.

Just my .02, but from the pix it's hard to see if the rear fender openeing has the raised fairing around the whole opening. The rear part of the fender seems stretched compared to some stock photos of 61's. Like I said it's hard to tell. Unless there's major issues with the drivetrain or rust underneath, buying "new" TT's and BFG's for it seems like a waste. Just tough to tell from photos of a light metallic colored car.

Well, he sent me 28 pictures. Since he has the 63 Gal, and in one of the pics there looks like a 67/68 Mustang FB, Im sure the guy knows what a Liner is worth. Rust wise, hes rather vauge regarding the condition of the body, other then saying it is a midwestern car.

Vague is usually not a good sign.

I saw some more pictures. It looks like 1960 lower patch panels were used in the quarters. At least at the rear edge. Not so good.....
