My son-in-law, Mark Palmer, is a sign language interpreter in Ocean Springs, MS. His family had damage, but is OK, and I am sure he would be willing to act as an interpreter whenever he is available. He works for VR and they are not back to work at this time. You can contact him at 228-818-2785. If you can not reach his number, email me, or call me at 210-595-1875 and I will try to reach him.
If you know anyone with a hearing loss who wants to move to Atlanta or is already in Atlanta from LA, please email me at durkhanai1976@yahoo.com. I am hard of hearing, and I am fluent in American Sign Language. Thank you.
I am an experinced interpreter for people with deaf/blindness and who are deaf and am a special education advocate for families who have children with disabilties. I could volenteer some time as a SSP for a person with deaf/blindness and help families negotiate school systems to ensure specialized services are obtained for thier children.
Hi,
I am looking for a private ASL instructor. Can you help me?? They are impossible to find in Atlanta. I stumbled across this site and thought I'd give it a shot. I know the alphabet and the numbers, but I dont know much else. Do you know anyone who can teach private ASL classes in Atlanta, GA?? I just want to learn for personal reasons. I am willing to pay.
Thanks
P.S. This looks like a private site, so I'm certain you didn't expect to get an email like this. My apologies.
This is so cool...my parents were very close friends of Mark's parents. They were Roy and Cathy Davis. I had hear Mark was interpreting and am glad to hear they survived the hurricane. Please tell him hello from me. I am interpreting in the Atlanta area.
