I was talking to one of my coworkers today and just recapping the ppl. I have worked for and I realized "Gosh, I have worked for a lot of AH's!" ranging from the psychotic female boss frustrated with life and jealous of everyone else's life because hers was really s#|tt* (this is the woman that has the balls to stick her hand in your food and grab a fry or a piece of chicken as if it was OK or ask you to buy lunch at a specific restaurant that is about 7 blocks away when you weren't even going there in the first place. Oh and by the way, during YOUR lunch hour) to the man that needed some serious a$$ kissing and ego stroking (expenses stupid personal items like his $330.00 pair of shoes and sports jerseys of every color and team and every other word he utters is a line fishing for a compliment). These ppl. just make you not even want to get out of bed in the morning!
I know what it is to look back at past and present co-worker experience. Now i've had limited work experience but here is some them...
A co-worker who needs to feel important so they will make you do things they can do themselves and have even been told by management as much. Then they had an absence at work and kept telling ppl that we would fall apart without them. Not only has the contrary happened but we've actually improved on it. Now they are refreshingly speechless. Same employee would cc: management on every single detail of their movements...apparently they just wanted to remind the forces that be that they were ACTUALLY working.
Another employee would actually send, when we had them, our student assistants to get them lunch. Not only did they not have cash but would give them their ATM card and pin. And then they'd change the pin just in case. They would also be too lazy to go to the bathroom and hold onto it and then complain they haven't gone all day.
I could go on.......the stupdity just is never ending...
I've been told before, people that act in such way have serious self esteem issues, they feel that they have to prove to everyone else that the job they do is the greatest in the department. It gets annoying at times because you already know that what the person is trying to do is not fooling anyone, and it sucks that you can't actually tell the person in her face because that would only cause conflict. What i do is just ignore, and make a joke out of it. Its either you find the funny side of it or be miserable with that person. Thats the way i see it. At least it helps me cope with it.
Thinking back on it...I've had colorful co-workers. Stay long enough at a job and you see lots of characters...
We had a co-worker that was 60 something but would still buy clothes at forever 21. Someone commented in her hearing range that just cause you buy there doesnt actually make you 21.
This same co-worker used to wear what the office deemed hooker heels. God bless for still being able to wear them at the tender age of 65.
She was also the co-worker who would be there early and disappear mid-morning and not come back till it was time to stamp out, unless of course there was free food involved.
The most bizarre of her behavior was in the realm of things you shouldnt be able to do at work namely: hair, make-up, shaving legs and other body parts, plucking eyebrows and lastly putting her feet up on the desk during her lunch hour.
Im sure other memories , aka horrors, will come to me later in the week. :P

Friday a usually high maintenance co-worker lost it. She is weird but she took the cake friday...
There is an excel report I maintain so she knows what she has done. She had a long absence and things were done differently so I got lax in updating the report. Well geez she blew a blood vessel this time...
She took the overlook personally like there is a conspirancy against her. That, WE, the department are not making her feel part of the department. That ever since her absence and then return we have not included her and that we dont realize we are doing it. She raised her voice to not only me but to the supervisor. She expected from us that we would fall over trying to assist her personally, not only professionally.
I sympathize that she has no family but she cant hold it against us that we cant clear our schedules at her whim. At the beginning we did to some extent because of her family status but people will only do that so long after being repeatedly kicked in the gut.
