Obviously, I forgot about posting. *blushes* Sorry. I'll try to do a better job.
Ever since my gushing post on the Loom, my hair's been going downhill a bit. Not a lot, and I'm trying to be optimistic (a big feat for me, the one who says not that the glass is half empty, not that the glass is empty, but that the glass is broken and I've cut my finger on it).
Actually, it seems like it's been thinning. I'm really worried about this one, scared is more like it, because I've always had thick hair. In fact, I've even acted a tiny, tiny bit high and mighty now and then, when I see people with thin hair...not to them, but I've thought, just once or twice, "Well, at least I don't have to deal with THAT problem."
If I didn't know better, I'd say I was being made to eat my words! I don't believe God punishes people like that, but sometimes I wonder. :\
So anyway. My ends are thinning, and starting to get a little wavy. I've always wanted curlyish hair, (the grass is always greener, right?) but this is the kind of wave you get when you have thin ends. It's not really really noticeable yet, but I'm afraid it's going to progress until I've just got wisps. My worst nightmare is cutting! I've had to wait six years to get my hair this long, nearly seven, and that's almost half of my life! *sigh* Ah well. Someone on the Loom once said (it was one of the moms, might've been Kim) "I've decided that if it's a toss up between caring for my hair and caring for my family, I'll go for the family." Or something to that effect. I'm going to try to have the same attitude.
I've been using Fox's Shea conditioning cream on my ends the past few days, and jojoba (from Carlynn :)) on my length. The ends have been pretty dry, so I'd like to do a deep conditioning treatment tonight on the ends, but I'm not sure what to do. We'll see.
If anyone has any ideas for good, homemade (in other words, nothing I have to go out and buy) treatments for dry ends, let me know!
