Eruption hits on the PA and Mr. Van Halen comes out in his trademark gear, with the DDE Heavyweight Championship Belt around his waist and strangly does not have a mic. in his hand. He walks towards the ring and stares down his two opponents, knowing that only one of them would emerge victorious.
"And the third participant in this match, weighing in at 250lbs he is the DDE World Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Van Halen."
The crowd boo as Mr. Van Halen hands his belt to the referee and climbs into the ring. As the cages start to lower, DDE Chairman 'Dangerous' Dave walks out of the entrance ramp and down to the announcers table, where Don West and Mike Tenay are seated. He indicates he wants to join the announcers and is immediately given a headpiece and a seat.
Tenay: Well we are honoured to have the DDE Chairman here with us tonight.
Dave: Thankyou Mike, as I have a vested interest in where 2 of the titles go, I thought i'd join you.
West: What are your thoughts leading into the match?
Dave: Well obviously you've got two members of the New Prophecy there, who could potentially 'team up' and take WildCard out, before fighting it out between themselves for the titles. But then of course you have the undefeated factor of WildCard, which has to be a boost. If you factor everything that has happened in the past few months, it is impossible to decide who is going to win it.
Tenay: Indeed, well lets look at all the potentials in this match: Van Halen and Kane2000 have both been patners for the past few months in the New Prophecy, so could team up. WildCard, as Dave mentioned, is undefeated in spite of being seemingly beaten by Van Halen at Aggression. Kane2000 seems to be struggling with deciding what side he is on...will tonight finally decide where his alliegance lies. And of course Van Halen and his recent arrogant narcissism, will he be willing to try and 'team up' in the early stages, or will he go for glory straight away? We will find out when we return after this commercial break.
