Indestructible...

by ???

Darkness fell over the arena as an air raid siren began to sound from the speakers. Fans began to wonder if this was indeed an attack while high-beam lights strobed over the audience, sounds of bombing and gunfire causing several to be restless. Until lightning struck the stage in multiple areas as the music for Disturbed's "Indestructible" kicked off, and big blooms of fire erupted from the points lightning had hit.

One of the searching spotlights snapped to the stage, casting into light the blonde bombshell known as Kalysto standing at the edge of the stage, her right fist raised high overhead as sapphire eyes remained fixed on a point far in front of herself, causing the excited fans in the arena to erupt into a frenzy, screaming out and filling the air with cheers and jeers.

Her soft, pouty lips remained firmly in a line, neither a smile nor a frown as the sound washed over her. The woman adorned herself in camouflage fatigues in the colors of white, black, gray, and blue-gray, a white A-style t-shirt over a black sports tank top, silver-over-black armwarmers covering her forearms, old scuffed on her feet and silver dog tags hanging from her neck, her long, blonde hair flowing loose down her back to her waist. Slowly, her arm lowered, and the Bad Girl soon made her way down the ramp into the still-darkened arena.

As the bright lights spun around the crowd, disrupting the darkness here and there, Kalysto walked toward the ring steps, taking them one at a time as she surveyed her surroundings, noting the creativity of the fans through the signs they brought to the arena. She barely paused as she stepped between ropes at the door entrance, eliciting groans from the men at missing their opportunity to catcall and wolf-whistle at her. The woman stopped in the center of the ring, arms rising slowly with the beat of the music, until they were straight up in the air. A quick glance around and the tiniest tilt to the corner of her mouth were the only warnings before she snapped her arms back down at the same time the searching strobe lights shut off, causing lightning to crash into all four ring posts, and behind her, a fiery explosion rose in the shape of large wings, bathing her in the glow of the flames.

The lights soon came back on in the arena as the smoke dissipated, and Kalysto crossed toward the announcer-side of the ring, to retrieve a microphone from one of the techs. Returning to the center of the squared circle, the former Queen of the Ring started to raise the mic toward her mouth, but the fans' shouts grew into an incredible roar, excitement dominating the feel of the crowd. She let the mic lower once more, amusement flickering in her eyes as she looked around the arena, letting the audience have their say.

After another minute or two, the rambunctious crowd began to quiet.

"Hi there, guys."

Fans started shouting their appreciation again, the noise level rising higher than before at hearing the familiar sugary-sweet, angelic voice of the one and only Kalysto.

"What, did you think I died?" she asked with a perfectly-shaped eyebrow rising above one of her sapphire eyes as she swept her gaze around the audience, the very slightest of smirks pressed in on her soft, pouty lips. "Sorry, but that seems a little too cliché around here and I'm all about doing my own thing, not following the latest fad."

Allowing the audience their time to laugh at the slightly-overdone storylines most wrestling federations had served up over the years, Kaly waited until the noise level dipped down once more. As it diminished, the blonde bombshell brought the microphone back up to her lips. "No, I'm very much alive and kicking, much to the chagrin of many, I'm sure," she stated. "Though, the opinions of others never really bothered me much. You don't like me?" She shrugged a shoulder. "Well, I don't care. Deal with it."

A ghost of a smirk crossed her lips, and she continued with, "And of course, those same people, and truthfully more than just them, are beside themselves right now, demanding what right I have to challenging for a championship when I haven't seen the inside of a ring in over a year, and I'm definitely not on some stupid list as a rightful contender. Truth be told..." Sapphire eyes bore down into the lens of the closest ring camera, "I really don't give a shit. I've gone to Hell and back this last year, and came out alive. Invincible... indestructible."

Her arm shot up into the air, and her die-hard fans threw their own up in response.

"I'm back, and I'm ready to throw down," she declared as her arm lowered again. "And who better to throw down with than one of the greatest superstars on this roster?"

Shouts rose for the kind words for the current Intercontinental Champion.

"Oh, hold on... Sorry, that was my opinion of Kade before he started running around with a bunch of people that were handed titles that didn't even exist not too long ago. Not to mention, he won the Intercontinental belt by a," She rolled her eyes, "'finger poke of death' and a lousy skit of a pinfall. Sorry, no. That's not earning the title in my book. Apparently, very few people on this roster actually earn belts and win matches in the traditional way." Shaking her head, the blonde sighed. "Terribly sad when even the greats fall so far."

Darkened blue eyes rose to the camera lens, the stare narrowed, and the fans in the arena stuttered into quiet as they gazed at her. It seemed to them that her appearance began to grow more savage right in front of their eyes. Her stance changed from relaxed to that of a predator, her blonde locks took on a volume reminiscent of a dangerous wild animal, her stare as piercing and alert as a bird of prey.

"Truth is, I'm not here to challenge for silly scraps of leather and gold. I've had my share of championship reigns, I've built a legacy that not many competitors can boast to having. I'm here to restore glory, to bring this sorry excuse for a company back to its feet. Mark this as the DWF's final notice..."

She stepped toward the camera, drawing a slight shaking from its operator. But the woman stopped just before the lens as she allowed her gaze to harden even further.

"The call has been heard, and your reckoning has come."
