The fans in the DWF Arena go wild as the song "Wings of a Butterfly" by H.I.M blazes out on the speakers in the arena. We head up to the first guitar crescendo as a dark figure in a giant leather jacket walks onto the ramp before lifting his fist up to pyro and fire!
The serious look on the face of Chris Blade was one to see, before he cracked a smile as the fans started to chant his name, he walks down before stopping half way and pointed to the top of the ramp, two guys started walking down the ring, waving respective flags of Thailand and Japan. The fans then started to cheer these two guys, dressed as if to compete, standing in the height range of six feet, four inches tall! They were in the ring as Chris Blade reached his podium in the centre of the ring, next to him is a case, which is covered in a velvet rope.
The music stops as the fans begin to chant "Blade, Blade!"
Chris grabs the mic before addressing the crowd:
CB: Ladies and gentlemen, I haven't been around in a while and from what I have been hearing, the DWF has been on a rocket launch straight to the top, I come back and well, things certainly haven't changed! We're STILL the number one promotion on the freaking PLANET!!!
Fans now cheer some more!
CB: And yes, I have been absent from TV time here, but for a few good reasons. Number one, certain big PPV's and TV supershows will from now on, be held in a 78'000 all seated arena, known as the DWF SuperDome!
CB: That's right, regular massive crowds, of cup-final proportions! And I know that our roster can EASILY handle that type of atmosphere! But I am here with more important news! I have come back from the Orient on a two month scouting mission! Unfortunately, some of the guys are unable to make it here tonight, due to the volcanic ash clouds, STILL descending around the world, therefore making it hard for travelling! BUT, I have two guys with me here, ladies and gentlemen, I give you... Yoshi Yakahama and Tiger Chang Capporo!
One or two fans begin to chant "Who are ya?"
CB: Typical soccer chant, gotta love it! These two are from Japan and Thailand respectively, they have wrestled on the local and international independent scene! However, I have known of their reputation for their ability to run the Great Wall of China with only a bottle of water to share and a loaf of bread, they have been known to at one time, climb the Himalayas with NO proper climbing equipment or camping equipment, they have done cliff diving, bare knuckle fighting, MMA and Kickboxing! Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the nutters that will fit in well in the DWF!
CB: Currently, they will eventually grace the tag team division as the "Asian Assassins!" BUT, they are here for this major announcement! Next month, we all know that in South Africa, the Soccer World Cup will kick off, HOWEVER!!! We have decided that it's time to do something which will bring in the same number of viewers as the FIFA tournament! We're hosting our own World Cup!
Fans now go ballistic!
CB: Simply, we have had eight men who have signed up and will represent their country of birth. Seven I can confirm and one who will announce himself on the day of his match! Which brings me over to the box here, now, I wonder what could be in here?
CB: Ladies and gentlemen, THAT right there is what the eight warriors will be fighting out for, for their countries! The DWF World Cup!
