The force of the elbow had impacted along with Gabriel's knee snapping back on the canvas. This was becoming a war of attrition, with each attack simply prolonging the match. Taking note of his opponent the current champion moving to the bottom rope, Sands made sure he didn't get back up so easily. Gabriel threw himself to his feet and ignored the limp persistent in his pursuit. Waiting till Kade reached for the ropes, Gabriel walked over him and gripped his outstretched arms, twisting the wrists clockwise then yanked forward slamming his boot into the back of Kade's skull performing a signature of the brute known only as the curb stomp!
Kade's head tapped the mat once and he failed to move. Sands however underestimated the damage done as a result of the move, and as his knee twisted he collapsed just beside his decimated opponent. Sands crawled like a commando in the muck to a quick cover on his opponent. At two, the champion escaped the pin and the monsters endeavored to rise again and bash another chunk out of themselves.
Sands watched the Black Demon pull himself to a knee, and a deep determined grit of his teeth followed. Kade only rose to meet eyes with Gabriel as a uncontrolled roundhouse rolled in his direction. Kade's arm and body twisted to deflect the wild blow, strong enough to stop the Zealot's assault in it's tracks. Kade cradled the arm and spun a hard back fist into Gabriel's cheek bone and then taking the momentum executed a spine buster that would make Arn Anderson envious. The Champion felt a gust of cold wind as he stood for a mere second before dropping a fist into Sand's body striking the soft of the kidneys. It was a good target, and so Kade tenderized it.
Gabriel's face welled in a contorted mass of pain. Turning to his back, it was now Sands on the defensive. Kade threw out a makeshift Iron claw only to steady his telegraphed punch to the throat of the challenger. Another good soft target which also blocked the referee's view of the strike. Gabriel's right hand gripped the elbow joint of Kade and his left fist bounced off of the Champion's jaw. The Iron choke punch was broken as Kade staggered and fell back to his knees. Sands tried to sit up but the sore kidney shots stopped him from a full attempt. Kade rolled back to the fight hammering Gabriel down once more, trying to keep control.
Kade rose to his feet and kicked Gabriel once in the side before deciding to go for something devastating. Taking hold of Sands head, Kade pulled him up to a bending position tucked for a power move. The champion braced for what he was planning but Gabriel's body centered like a stone wall, and his tug went nowhere. Kade felt his body rise up and over as Gabriel executed a Kryptonite Krunch reversal, and simply fell over the body.
The referee began to count with his hand slamming the mat at one, but stopping as he realized the Kade was under the ropes for the save.
The exhausted Sands, then exclaimed quite bewilderingly, "Curse your tallness!"
