I have a song for you both... It's called "The Funeral March"
As the Redeemer tortured Gideon, Gabriel Sands kept his eyes on the coffin just a few steps in front of him. His knee slipped out of joint but the will to hold the submission kept his grip steady. Gideon's legs felt like jelly, and the Holy Warrior's back convulsed as he slammed the dirt over and over indicating a tap out. But there would be no stoppage.
A seething Undead Enigma held the arcane foul object in his hands. Synn had brought it to the arena as instructed. The cult of Enigma had forged it, and now it's power would be witnessed by everyone at Last Rites. Now was the time to strike. The massive Earth mover was gestured to life as the controls initiated a blinding search light over the Grave site. Gabriel was instantly blinded as the vehicle roared to life baring down on the fashioned gates of Hell. Sands dropped the Redeemer, and collapsed in front of the glaring white beam holding his massive hand to shield himself. Gideon could only witness the light as well, but he could feel the low growling rumble of the two ton machine rolling to them.
It's vibration shook the arena floor as Gabriel failed to notice the fiend controlling it, the device tucked under his arm. He failed to see Synn bounding from the back of the machine, grasping the back wheel, and leaping inside of the grave itself. As Gabriel stood the machine halted, and the searing white light remained fixed on the bewildered creature. Enigma safe in his anonymity protected by the blinding force ahead of him, directed the over head camera boom to strike Gabriel in the face like a missile!
Sands never saw the camera smash it's lens into his head and vault him into the grave! There Synn was waiting with a stun gun and shocked the Zealot before bounding from the hole standing at the feet of a crippled Savior.
Synn kicked Gideon in the face as hard as she could, the force so great that the cross tattoo section of his face split and began to swell. Synn reached down and with a pair of iron shackles bound the Ghostwalker and turned the bladed restraint device so that any escape attempt would slit his wrists. Exhausted from his bout, Gideon offered little resistance, his only hope was that the Boogeyman would rise and see to these monsters interrupting the match. But Enigma from his perch could see the body did not move in the grave. Shackled in the battered dirt, Gideon was being held down by Synn's knee as the Necromancer slowly walked on top of the mound.
" Bring him."
Enigma's words were like a cold verdict of execution with no reprieve. Synn responded by locking in his arms and dragging him to the open coffin. On his knees bleeding and broken by the torture of his contest, his wrists rolled against the sharpened restraint and blood began to pour from his veins.
"You are so marked. I could think of nothing better for you then this agonizing gift. I let you suffer, and now I shall fulfill the wishes of Azelbal. This cursed iron prison shall be your end! Heh heh heh!"
Enigma lifted the mask which then caught a black and green flame, and with a gesture thrust it upon Gideon's face! The power of the dark spell snapped his head back and shot through him sending his body into throes of struggle as Enigma gestured again clasping the Iron mask shrouding the Holy Warrior's senses in darkness! Gideon could only scream and as he did the pain tore at his flesh as he could feel the dark magic burning his flesh away, the green fire eroded his lids and the demonic forces trapped inside began to draw blood which rolled from the cursed prison's riveted carved locks. There were no slots in which to see hear or breathe. Just the prison crafted for an unfortunate skull, in which never to escape. With Gideon trapped and howling in pain Undead Enigma cradled him and locked the muscle buster over the coffin dropping him hard into the resting place with unbridled fury. Then Synn blew A kiss as he lay there shackled and cursed before slamming the lid shut.
The vile fiend then signaled the crane to drop it's load of earth filling in the grave with two tons of suffocating dirt. As the display of Hell's Gate crumbled and rolled under the falling earth Sands was being buried alive! Synn had doused Gideon's coffin with the gasoline sitting on to of the mound as Undead Enigma held the striking block in his hands. Concentrating the Enigmatic One's blood red eyes began to glow as the Coffin lifted, and began to drift over to the buried grave. Then as he dropped the box unceremoniously, he handed the striking block to Synn who ignited the coffin with glee! As Gideon burning and Gabriel suffocated, the pair simply walked away.
Candace's eyes never left her monitor as her hands shook signaling the rescue crew to begin their work. Within four minutes of the ignition of the coffin crews were on the scene, trying to put out what seemed like an undying inferno. As the chemical retardant extinguishers struck the fire it grew, until it was nothing but a pyre engulfing the entire grave site! Panic set in as the fire raged on, the box radiating a deeper blue as the flames and smoke enveloped it. Then the earth below began to move as Gabriel's hand shot from the flames! From the mound of Earth He emerged, his body cracked and glowing like a blackened ember as he powered the flaming coffin to the concrete where the pyre could no longer taste it. Sands weak, dropped to his knees and fell beside the smoldering coffin as a few rescue cold blankets covered his massive frame and plumes of white smoke escaped from under them. The rescue crew grabbed a few buckets of cold water from back stage and doused the brittle coffin with the gallon containers. As it scalded and the heat vapor rolled from it the coffin itself imploded leaving a broken pile of wooden ashes. Sands still covering himself in cold packed blankets tore over the coffin, smashing the smoldering blackened soot box with a few desperate kicks. Gideon was gone.
Gabriel fell to his knees once again at the sight of the ashen remains.
A cracked lamented voice uttered,
" Not like this, no this is not what was to happen. Not like.."
Sands drew a blackened smoke filled breath before collapsing himself as the rescue crews summoned a lift and double stretchers carting him to the nearest ambulance to try and repair what they surely could not understand.
As the sirens wailed, Undead Enigma looked to Synn.
"Champions will crumble tonight. No quarter given. Summon Killburn. Indeed, I will win regardless of this feeble outcome! Heh heh heh!"
