The Oracle ran her fingers through Devil's newly cut and dyed hair with a smile. "You have to learn to love yourself before anyone else can, Dante." Looking up at his crimson and black painted face she whispered, "All that anger you've had burning inside of you....let it out in the ring. Let it all out. Stop holding back and become yourself." With that she embraced him and whispered, "I'll be watching..." Not uttering a word Devil made his way towards the ring, but not in the manner everyone expected.
A few moments later...
Michael Cole - Well we're waiting on either Seth or Devil to make their way to the ring.
King - Who is that guy coming through the crowd!?
JR - Why...I think that's Devil, King!
Booker T - Wow! Look at that paint on his face!
Michael Cole - That's vintage Devil! He hasn't had this kind of appearance since the very beginning of his career.
Devil weaved his way through the crowd with no theme music, pyro, smoke, mist, or change of lighting. All he wore was a black trench coat and a pair of
black tights and black boots with red highlights. On either side of the his tights there was a question mark style symbol along side a devil faced symbol in red. No uttering a word with his facial expression seemingly frozen in a cold and emotionless state, he made his way down through the crowd, hopped the guard rail and slowly walked around the ringside area.
King - Woah. I don't know what's with Devil but he's creeping me out! He's not saying anything!
Michael Cole - What a drastic change that is from being the most outspoke creature, perhaps, in the history of Creatures wrestling!
Booker T - You know with all the personal stuff that happened with him maybe he finally snapped. Maybe he's gone over the deep edge!
JR - I don't know what the story is behind this drastic change in Devil but I don't think it's good news for Seth. I've never seen Devil in the state of mind he's in now and I'm just reading his body language. Yes he looks like the Devil from back in the early stages of his career but it's the look in his eyes that
scares the hell out of me.
Michael Cole - Maybe, just maybe, he's finally realized instead of trying to keep these fans happy he needs to focus on doing whatever he needs to do in order to reach that next level in his career. Maybe he's finally figured out, more than anyone, he's always held himself back from reaching his full potential. Maybe for the first time we're going to see that Devil we've always talked about but never actually seen awakened!
Slowly, Devil walks up the ring steps, and enters the ring. Silently he makes his way over to the crowd farthest away from Viper and stares a hole through her with his eyes, blazen red, before averting them towards the entrance way. He was more than ready for Seth and on this night he was finally going to show the world that his time had finally come. He was going to seize his place amongst the greatest of the great and unleash hell doing it...staring with Seth. With the same cold, expression on his crimson painted face, he kneels down and awaits Seth like a lion about to pounce on it's prey...
