Still have a female RTH here in Florida!

I hadn't seen or heard the hummer for several days. I was thinking she may have moved on. But I was determined to find out for sure, so I sat outside for about an hour at dusk waiting. I caught a glimpse of her at the Cape Honeysuckle tree. There are a few blooms on it that she went to. Then she zipped off. I waited as I knew she wasn't filled up yet with nectar before sleeping. Sure enough she came back and zipped around the hummer and butterfly garden area looking at different plants. She looked at Wendy's Wish, the hamela patens dwarf that is full of blooms, and some pentas, but then zoomed right over to the feeder! Ha! I was just thinking I was wasting my time maintaining the 2 feeders I have up as I doubted any hummers were using them. She proved me wrong! Just what I needed! Otherwise I would have taken them down.

I am very glad to know she is still here! I wonder if she is nesting and tending to young? I would think this is the beginning of breeding season?
