Hummers suddenly disappear

Hummingbirder 2012

I planted 3 large hummingbird gardens as a memorial to my 22 year old daughter who passed away last summer. The arrival of spring and the hummingbirds lessened my grief. I saw ruby throated hummers every day at my plants and feeders....both male and female. However, they have gone away. I have not seen them for the last few days despite changing the nectar and keeping everything clean.

We do have red-tail hawks nesting in another tree in my yard. Wondering if they scared the hummers away.

I am heartbroken once again. Any advice?
