Hello! It's been a long time since I've posted anything, but a few of you may still remember me.
I was outside in the yard this morning and had my camera. It's been a gloomy day, so not the best for photography, but I'm grateful for the rain we've been getting here in western PA. My garden is beginning to perk up, and the Lilium superbum are blooming. I've been drenching them in deer repellant spray (the leaves and stems, not the flowers), and thank goodness, the deer have stayed away from the blooming one and haven't nipped it off to the ground as they have in years past.
So hey, there I was, caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye of a hummingbird using it. Yippee! I whirled around, with the camera on manual exposure, with no time to make any adjustments. I just snapped the photo, and this is the only shot I got because the bird took just a brief sip, then was off again. I felt lucky to get anything, a record of usage for this flower.
It's been so long, I don't know if I still know how to post a photo! I hope this works...
