      Thanks for the play by play, Dan! I was at work and couldn't watch today. What a funny turn of events! You just never know what's going to happen at Phoebe's nest! The videos from today's fledge and visit are pretty priceless! They can be seen herehttp://s4.zetaboards.com/Birds_of_a_Feather/topic/9325076/1/ Looks like they have an affectionate rivalry between them as any siblings would!


      After watching many fledges now, I'm rather wondering if the chicks' tail feathers need to grow to a certain length before they are able to hit lift off. Obviously the chicks need to build up their wing strength, but I wonder if the aerodynamics of that tail makes a difference as well. Hmmm.
