Aw, no need to be shy...we're practically family here. My mug appears on all my posts, but here's a pic from last September. I was recording the progress of my seedling brugmansias - very few bloomed in their 1rst season, but were busy growing really big. I should see most of them bloom this year. (Make sure you fully enlarge the pic - otherwise it appears as if I have no eyes!) My hummer garden is back there somewhere, too.
Now...let's see some faces, folks!

Here is myself at our Mid Winter Conference in Kalamazoo in January. I'm holding the 1st place winning entry in the Buddy Poppy contest for the State of Michigan, made it myself, and I'm not the crafty person. Every year the State Auxiliry President picks the theme, and these are used for centerpieces at the Voice of Democracy banquet. The theme this year was a white bear walking, like in {One More Step For Our Veterans}, and using as many poppies as you can. I don't take pictures well but what the heck. I like the idea of seeing some of our mugs.

Gee, I had to do some digging. I like this photo because I'm next to a horse painting. I'm at a girlfriend's art gallery; we were horse-crazy when we were kids; actually still are. Oh, I'm a female too.
If someone is having trouble posting a picture, email me and I'll post it here.
Cheers,
Bob

Here I am with my daughter this past weekend at Meramac Caverns in Missouri.
Notice all the native columbine in back. There was lots of it growing out of the bluff cracks and holes. It was first time I've seen columbine in the wild. This section was a little more landscaped but many other areas were not where they were growing wild. Saw one rubythroat visit them before we scared it off accidentally.
Here is our buddy Ward Dasey signing in. He sent me several pics but haven't uploaded the other three yet. As soon as I do I will edit this post and try to include them here or if necessary will add them below. This was taken last year at the first planting at Palmyra Cove. This is a rare photo of Ward so savor it LOL!
Planting at Palymra Cove 05/12/07. The taller younger fellow is my man Stephen, as everyone knows from his former photo post.

These last two pictures have Vicki Wozniak on the right, Pat Sutton in the middle, and the monkey on the left is well - a monkey. They do give some idea about the median sage garden I'm always yammering about - it looks different now.

Hey Penny thanks for posting the Palmyra photos as I have never seen them before...and me being referred to as "younger" isn't that common for me anymore either ! Well I have to chime in now with my favorite Ward photo. He has become quite a cult hero on this site for good reason .. even though he is in fact a monkey in disguise. Some of you may have seen this before but here he is last fall in his own backyard jungle empire .
Ha ha ha....yeah Penny like that is ever going to happen. I can't even post my own pics without help from my daughter...not alone try to retrive something from a year ago!! Someone else will have to find it!!
I'm thinking it's under Penny's Garden on U Tube...good luck!!
Ok here goes(most likely will not work...only because I really suck at this)
I put the web address (URL) in a link. Here is how to do it:
1. Copy the "Link Something" HTML code from this HTML Guide.
2. Paste the "Link Something" HTML code in your message.
3. Put the URL (web address) of what you want to link over the words URL in "Link Something" HTML code;see THIS EXAMPLE.
4. Put the word(s) you want people to click on for the link between the >< after where you put the URL.
Thanks again Bob!!
Penny your gardens are just as beautiful as you are!! No need to be camera shy....
I have loved seeing all the photos...Thanks Kris..great idea!!

Great idea Kris and so much fun to see everyone. Like Penny said, we tend to have preconceived notions of what people look like and then they don't look like that at all. Anyhow, here's our photo (taken tonight in our yard---we needed a new one anyhow.) We have to admit, it's not the greatest and we are very far from young and glamorous, but you get the idea! Bob, we apologize that we could not get this into thumbnail form---Michael worked on it for quite some time and we finally had to eat dinner at 9:15 p.m. after a very long day for him at work--maybe you can help us fix it.

Oh I agree this is a great idea! It has taken me awhile to find a picture cause I really don't like my pics ...and then couldn't find one with me in my garden...Soooooo I finally found this one a year or two ago. It's my son Ken and I on Mothers day...and in front of the kitchen window that overlooks the garden. (Looks like my smart alecky son was teasing me about something here...but we were definitely having fun)!!!
And sorry Bob I am having trouble enough with Photobucket lately and forgot about the thumbnail...

Seems like it's been a week since I've been on here. WAIT!! It's almost been a week!! Mom's Day, Mom's Birthday, Mom & Dad's Anniversary, seminar on Fireflies, TV finales, planting, yard work, more planting & still way more planting to go. (Hopefully the big storms coming this way don't do too much damage. Really thinking of running out there in my PJ's to drag everything in the garage. Not sure what I would prefer to save, my plants or my car. No room for both)
Quite a few pix on here that didn't look like I pictured. It is a very funny thing..how you perceive someone. Wonder if it would be any different if we heard voices???
Since I don't take pictures of myself with my own camera, this is the only half-decent one I could find. I always have a mouth & eye thing goin' on. This is Mom's Day last year with my two sisters, Geri & Lori. I'm in pink. Geri, in the brown, lives across the street from me. (She's the one that doesn't do any research, leaving it all up to me & then copies all I do...plants that attract, that is).

I just joined this forum yesterday so I have not uploaded any pictures of myself yet. This shot was on the web from an R/C event last year so hopefully I will get it posted right.
i don't post all that much around here these days..i do a lot of fun lurking and learning however..people probably don't even know who i am but that's ok.. i just gotta join in the fun.. I am extremely camera shy, like my friend , Penny.
But i am going to post this shot anyhow..
there is one catch, however.
IT IS NOT A CLICKABLE THUMBNAIL
it is called a "gist" photo..
a tiny glimpse of a small piece of my postage stamp apartment front garden with model in it.

Here I am wearing my "Compost Happens" T-shirt sitting on my favorite birthday present-a pile of compost.
ok,Penny.. now this is how you take a photo.. you take your camera( i know you have one) and hold it at arms length..and snap the little shutter.. then go to the computer and upload it to computer ( or is it download to computer ?) then take it to photo bucket and then send it to this forum..
no more excuses.. The video clip of you was ok, but now, you have had too many requests for a photo... say, if i can do it, so can you..
This pic was taken last year. I am in the middle. My friend Beryl is in the pink. Connie is in the blue tinkerbell shirt, my best friend who passed in January.
Thanks for those posting instructions Bob. This is the first pic I've ever posted. Just joined photo bucket via your link. Preview looks like I got it right.

Wonderful thread, and just the thing to bring me out of seclusion.
This is yours truly out in the field at North Park, video camera slung around my neck. It was taken several years ago, but I think I still look pretty much the same.
The photographer is a friend who came along that day as a "bird dog." His mission was to scare ducks up from the lake on my cue, so I could get good solid video for a painting. I have to laugh when I remember that day and our attempts to get the ducks to cooperate.
I'm not usually especially photogenic, and the smile on my face is saying "I can't believe you're really going to take a picture of me looking like this!" He did, and now I'm glad I have it. I could probably find a more glamorous and flattering picture somewhere, but this seems true to me. I'm usually alone in the field, and I think this may be the only photo of me doing this part of my work.

Oh my, I can't believe how polite all the forum folks are!
If I invited a bunch of Louisianians to paint a picture of me based on my previous posts, I'd be inundated with adjectives. Penny would be going crazy with the delete key.
Well, since nobody stepped up to the plate, I guess I'll have to do it myself.
Petite (you got that one Penny,) outspoken (DH said loud-mouthed,) flighty, stubborn, occassionally entertaining, bossy, combative....getting the picture yet? OK, I give in, here's a pic.
I've edited out all the comment posts (Sorry!) so that there are just photos,or links to photos. Also, I've made thumbnail sized images for all large pictures, otherwise the thread would take forever to load.
This thread is now in the FAQ for future reference
Penny says "Glad it was pushed back up b/c I enjoyed looking at them all again". And we're still waiting for a picture or PENNY!! Come on, we're all friends here. We won't laugh if you a really big wart on your nose! We love you Penny!
I really enjoyed seeing a picture of everyone! I missed this last year, so am glad it was bumped. Here's a picture of me taken in December with my two dogs, Sophie and Nick. This is my first picture posting on this website so hope it works.

Pam,
Thanks to my neice my camera ;eally isn't working. It turns on and then automatically turns right off again in less than one minute. This picture was taken by my daughter at her house on Christmas. I would buy a cheapo 35 mm but I know I would never take the film in to be developed.

Penny, this is going to sound really stupid as I'm sure you would know if this was the case. When my camera goes off right after I've turned it on, it means I need to change the batteries. As I said, I feel sure you'd know if that was it but thought I'd throw it out there. Could that possibly be it???

Hey Carol,
We thought of that and did change the batteries twice and it worked for about 10 minutes and then shut off again so we turned it back on again and it shut down right away. My neice and stepdaughter were using it and we don't know if they spilled something on it or dropped it but it has never worked right since then.
