Steve, I never get tired of your pics and vids. But...you are making me very jealous. I never see more than 3 together at one time. Enjoy!

Steve:

Nice shots, but I counted 6, if you include both feeders!

I'm curious--you have a lot of females there--do you have some extensive woodlands for nesting habitat close to your house?

Donald-- Im not sure those are females they could be young males. All I can say is there is farmland across the street and there is woods at the end of the farmland but none very close to me. I live on a tiny lot but I must be doning something right. Yes, if the hummer had joined the others at the one dinner table I wouldve called it " party of six".

Pam-- It seems like all I do right now is make nectar for these guys. Last night I filled both these perky pet 209 feeders about half full and they are 30oz feeders, so Im thinking theres no way they are going empty either one, but they did. I make pretty big batches and keep some in the fridge. The spring/summer started slow but its looking good now. It seems the young ones mainly hang in back and the adult males hang in front especially in the evening.

Judy-- Nice to hear from you. Yes, I would like to think all Ive done , all the hard work, a nice presentation and hope the hummers come and they have. But everyone does this to the best of their ability and expect results and I cant answer the reason why, just enjoy and appreciate.

Susan-- Im so sorry to hear that you dont have hummers yet, but Im hoping that you will have them soon. If I by posting my good fortune have brightened your day, then that makes me very happy, hang in there.

All I can say to anyone is if you get a few hummers, get all the feeders up you can, keep them filled and fresh and let the hummers do the rest. Also change the nectar twice a week at least if not more. Im having to fill the wally world feeders twice a day. But I must admit I let those go dry on purpose to force them to gather at the pp 209 to get this video. My routine is every night when the hummers are done , I clean and refill all that are empty or near empty so they will be ready at dawn when they arrive.
