I thought I'd never see another bunny here ever...We used to have SO many years ago..but I think, the predators and roaming dogs eliminated them..Now, there are leash laws so no roaming dogs..but have heard Coyotes...I got SO excited..I also have a resident Chipmonk, but haven't been able to get a PIC yet..

Hello Gloria,

Nice pic...but unfortunately those are a huge annoyance and nuisance here for us. There are 2 families of them just across the street and at night have come and eaten all the Dill I had for the Swallowtails to lay eggs on...
Now I spread this stuff around the outside of the garden (crushed blood and bones) I got at the local nursery to keep them away from eating the Dill I replaced and anything else they have their "sniffers" and "eyes" on...
Yes, I used to think ...Awwww...how cute when I'd see a little baby hopping around...not anymore! I've put too much labor...and DH too much money...in the gardens for them to chow down on everything...
You can have all of ours!

I'd be excited if I saw one in my yard, too. We had several up until just a few years ago and they never ate any plants I cared about. I suspect the free roaming cats and dogs probably finished them all off.

Awww...very cute!

We have a family of rabbits on our property. The babies are so cute. Mom and Dad spend their days trying to keep the babies rounded up. The babies are really starting to explore the yard now. So far they are only eating the grass - still leaving my plants alone...thank goodness.

Yes they are cute Gloria, BUT, pain in the gardens. Most every year they get my first crop of green beans. And for the first time this year I can't put out a dish of Grape jelly for the Oriols without a da** chipmonk eating the whole thing. Their cute also, and DH used to hand feed them peanuts

Yea rabbits!

Gloria,
Congrats on your garden bunny. I love having the rabbits in the yard. They have a calming presence and often make me laugh too. For some reason the ones living in my mother's yard are so tame I can walk up to within a few feet of them. A bunch of times I've accidently done that.
As to gardening I learned a long time ago what they'll bother and how to protect it. But there's so many good wild rabbit greens growing in the yard that its not much of a problem.
Enjoy.

He's cute Gloria! I live deep in the woods, so I'm learning to plant stuff for the wabbits to munch on away from my hummer garden. Sometimes it works...
