I saw a male Ruby throat this morning!!

I was inside the house and he was feeding at the portersweed next to the window, but of course by the time I got outside with the camera he was gone.
But he will return, I'm sure!!
I will update with a photo, soon, I hope, although, we will be out of town from early tomorrow, for a couple of day to celebrate "Thanksgiving" with other Canadians here in Costa Rica, returning on Wed.

Hi Patricia

Congratulations on your first ruby-throated! It is interesting - as I sit and look out my kitchen window and still see two hummers chasing around - you have one outside yours...Hope you do get pics to share. In the meantime have a very Happy Thanksgiving!!

As Carol and Bob already stated CONGATULATIONS on your first Ruby Throated. I wonder if he is one that graced any of our gardens over that past few months???

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving too. What a wonderful way to celebrate!

Thanks, everyone.
It will be nice to have turkey tomorrow with the 'extended family' here.
I am surprised that the hummer has arrived nearly 2 weeks earlier than the one I first noticed last year on the 24th.
At the moment the lawn mower is making lots of noise and the hummers are keeping out of it's way, so I will keep an eye out for chasing going on.
