I've had this plant in my yard for a while , but this year it got really big and seeded everywhere and now I have a bunch of them. It has a trumpet kind of flower, I was hoping it would attract humingbirds but I never saw them on it. any ideas?

It looks like Ruellia brittonia. I have it in my garden, and I haven't seen any hummers check it out, either. But, I have read that others have said, that, yes, indeed hummers like it!. So, it may be the hummers prefer something else in your garden!
